On February 7, 2011 Elder Cameron Johnson lept into action when a twin-engine plane crashed into an RV storage park yard. He helped pull the plane's pilot-Lonny Wayne Rollins 39, of San Luis obispo, away from the craft as it was leaking fuel. "I kind of realized in the process, that if I die doing this, the best way to die is to help somebody else" said Elder Johnson. Elder Johnson told us that as he pulled the man away from the wreck, the man kept saying "Pray for Me, Pray for Me." Elder Johnson laid his hands upon the man's head and gave him a blessing as he was lying on the pavement. Elder Johnson arrived here in the mission on November 9, 2010. Here is a picture of the front page story of "The Sun", San Bernardino's newspaper. The copy of the newspaper is in Elder Johnson's personal file at the mission home.
