In 2nd Nephi 32:3 we read: "Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things that ye should do." It is hard to believe that six months have passed since the last General Conference. We look forward to hearing and 'feasting' upon the words of Christ through his servants. Those that speak to us are the Lord's representatives and have been chosen to share messages with us that will allow us to improve and enhance the quality of our lives. The words of these leaders give us the council, guidance, and direction that we need in our lives. I know that through General Conference many of my personal concerns and the concerns of our missionaries were answered as we listened to the council given.
Today I was especially touched by the words of President Dieter F. Uchtdorf when he said, "Some members in this church would rather push a handcart hundreds of miles, than talk to their friends about the Gospel." We have the "Good News" of the gospel of Jesus Christ! The Gospel changes people's lives, individually as well as families. Why not share this wonderful message with everyone we know?
President Thomas S. Monson, our beloved prophet said: "We face many challenges in the world today, but let me assure you our Heavenly Father is mindful of us. He loves each of us and will bless us as we seek him through prayer and keep His commandments."
May we always follow the counsel of our Prophets as missionaries now and throughout our lives.
