Leadership Training Meetings

March 15 & 16th we have been involved in leadership training meetings. About 80 of the missionaries that serve as zone leaders, district leaders and trainers met in the Etiwanda building. There were a number of discussions led by President Godwin-among them the "Doctrine of Christ", one of the Fundamental lessons of Preach My Gospel; another on becoming better gospel teachers. President and Sister Godwin also led discussions on "Teaching People not Lessons". The Assistants, Elder Jordan and Elder McGregor trained on "Receiving Revelation through the Book of Mormon" as well as "Finding" which included assisting the ward members to fulfill their responsibilities in their efforts to be better lifelong member missionaries. They also led a discussion on "building trust" with members and priesthood leaders in their individual wards and stakes by being totally obedient and dressing, acting and looking like the representatives of Jesus Christ that they are. Everyone participated in the discussions and many bore testimony of the divine work they are engaged in. It was an edifying, uplifting and spiritual feast for the missionaries and leaders involved. The missionaries involved in the trainings, in turn, will be able to go to their districts and zones and edify and uplift the missionaries they have stewardship for. Next week we will be having other trainings for the younger missionaries.
